Yeti es la banda creada por John Hassal, ex bajista de The Libertines, que luego de conocer al bajista Brendan Hersey, a los guitarristas Andy Drian Jung y Harmont Williams al tener amigos en común, y completar el grupo con el baterista Graham Blacow, decidieron comenzar a tocar acoustic driven beat pop con un toqe de los psicodelicos 60 y fuertes armonías. La banda liderada por John Hassall en la voz y guitarra principal debuta con el sencillo "Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder" realizado en Marzo del 2005 y alcanzo el número 36 en las listas británicas.
Para muchos, Yeti es considerada una banda buena únicamente por tener como antecesor a The Libertines, tomando en cuenta que Hassall fue solo la sombra que quedo de las alineaciones nacientes de los dos líderes de los ya extintos The Libertines, sin embargo, Yeti goza de un estilo único y de canciones estupendas como la ya mencionada "Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder", "The Last Time You Go", "Song for the Dead" y "Working for the industry", sin duda canciones muy buenas, que por supuesto, no lograran tener el éxito de "Bang Bang You're Dead", ni de "Killamangiro", ni mucho menos de "Time For Heroes", pero suenan a algo muy distinto de lo ya escuchado, tienen su estilo tan fresco y tan único, que solo queda decir que Yeti es el último fruto de una excelente banda, y como producto de la excelencia, no ha dejado nada que desear.
